REPUBLIC OF BURYATIA
The Republic of Buryatia is a federal part of Russia and is located in the Siberian federal district on the border with Mongolia. It comprises the eastern shore of Lake Baikal and extends to the Baikal Mountains.
● Its capital is the city of Ulan-Ude with 404,426 inhabitants (in 2010).
● Its area is 351,300 square kilometers with a population of 961,300 (in 2010).
● Over 80% of the republic's territory is located in the mountainous region, including the Baikal Mountains.

The inhabitants of the country called Buryat. In addition to the Buryats live up to a limit of 70%, mainly Russians and Tatars Ukraine in the country. The Republic of Buryatia is respected especially through their high migration rates between the many tribes and religion. Thus, the Evenki, Mongols and Tatars are valued and supported, especially in their cultural heritage in Buryatia. The main faiths are prevalent in Buryatia especially the Orthodox-Catholic Church, the Old Believers and the Buddhists. From the "indigenous peoples of the Russian North" live mainly in the north of the Republic 2,974 Evenki.
